Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire (February 27, 2010 (February 27, 2010) Toronto ON). Pointe Claire is a quiet neighborhood located in the West Island, which is an island in Montreal. People unfamiliar with the term often think that there is a separate island to the west of Montreal however, this part of West Island is home to everything from Lachine west to the Lachine city. Lachine west. Amanda Brugel is said to be born on the West Island. However, it's not the case. Brugel lived in Courtice close to Oshawa in Ontario. The first goal she had was to dance however a rapid growth rate meant that she literally outgrew her dance partner. The article she wrote about her experience revealed published by the Toronto Star that she is 6'1" tall, even when she wears heels. As soon as I outgrew my male counterparts then I stopped. Former dancers often turn to acting, and in the instance of Brugel, it was an urging from her high school teacher in drama. She was a teacher at the time who advised her to go after a role in the school's annual production. The audition was successful and she was chosen as Anne of Green Gables. This led to the award of a Fine Arts Talent Scholarship at York University where she attended the Theater Program which she graduated with an Associate of Fine Arts degree in the year 2000. Since then, she's appeared involved in more than 60 shows, large and small. Most notable was when she landed Rita's role on The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the only Canadian cast member during Season 1 of the series, and not seen much.
